Elizabeth Lake

As a member of the City Administrator's Executive Team since 2018, Betsy is responsible for advancing major projects such as the Oakland Army Base and the Coliseum redevelopment. She has more than 28 years of experience working with both public and private clients on real estate and land use issues across the state. Among other things, she works closely with Economic and Workforce Development and Planning and Building Departments, where she is overseeing over a billion dollars of public private partnerships. She holds a Juris Doctorate in Law from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College. Betsy is on the board of the Fox Oakland Theater, Inc. and Oakland Renaissance New Markets Tax Credit Program, and she an Advisor to the California State Bar.
