Jacque Larrainzar

Jacque Larrainzar Is a racial equity professional with more than 20 years of experience supporting City and County government agencies to design and implement services and programs that center racial equity.

Jacque started her career at the City of Seattle Office for Civil Rights, the Department of Transportation, and a short stint at the Mayor’s office.

Jacque was part of the leadership team that implemented initial efforts to address systemic structural racism in government and volunteered for many years to achieve this goal.

Jacque left the City of Seattle to apply what she had learned about racial equity, policy and planning to support the creation of behavioral health services for Martin Luther King County’s LGBTQ undocumented, immigrant and refugee populations with Seattle Counseling Services and King County Elections.

Prior to her work in government agencies, Jacque worked with the Latino and Black led homeless and LGBTQ street outreach programs and as a legal advocate and outreach specialist with The Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.

Jacque had the honor to represent Oakland at the National League of City’s American City’s Award where Oakland was recognized as one of the best 20 Cities in the Country for its Equity and Engagement work.
She currently serves in the board of InReach an organization dedicated to listing verified services for a broad spectrum of LGBTQ+ people including asylum seekers, refugees, and other immigrants, BIPOC communities, transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) people, youth, caregivers.

On her free time, she enjoys taking care of a few adopted parrots, and hiking with Latino Outdoors.
