Amaya Jennifer Lin (she/her) has been organizing in the student, environmental, and worker justice movements for almost 25 years. For the past five years, at the National Employment Law Project (NELP), Amaya convened and staffed a statewide collaborative of 17 worker rights organizations in an innovative partnership with the agency that enforces California’s labor laws.
More locally, Amaya spent nearly 12 years with the East Bay Alliance for a Sustainable Economy (EBASE), serving in research, policy, coalition building, and campaign development roles. In the early 2000s, she also worked with the Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN), co-managing a multi-year campaign and multi-racial coalition for responsible development in Oakland. Amaya holds a Master of Public Policy from the UCLA School of Public Affairs, and Community Coaching Certification from Leadership that Works. She lives in Oakland with her partner and middle-schooler.
