This lush green neighborhood park and recreation center offers well-maintained community facilities which include:
- Softball field & bleachers
- Full-size basketball courts
- Tennis courts
- Tot lot playground for younger children
- Accessible outdoor restrooms
- Small community garden
Brookdale’s after-school program is designed for children ages 5-12 providing a safe place to play air hockey, ping pong, sports and receive homework help.
Activities (Free to Oakland Residents)
- During the summer season (June 3rd to July 26th) Brookdale hosts the SFSP Free Summer Lunch program for children 18 and under Monday through Friday 12 noon to 1 pm.
- Summer Recreation Activities are offered from 1 pm - 4:30 pm.
