This is your resource for accessing information on City of Oakland voting, candidates, ballot measures as well as other election-related services for the City of Oakland. **Please note -Oakland Unified School District Ballot Measures are filed directly with the Alameda County Registrar of Voters; visit the Registrar's website at https://www.acgov.org/rov_app/measures for information on OUSD Ballot Measures.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024

All registered voters will be sent a ballot in the mail. 

Not registered to vote? No problem! Eligible California voters can complete the Same Day Voter Registration process. Click here for more information.

There are 3 ways to vote:

1. Mail your ballot. Must be postmarked on or before 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 5. No postage required.

2. Drop your completed ballot in a 24-hour ballot drop box. Click here to find a drop box near you.

3. In person.

There are 26 locations in Oakland where you can drop off your ballot or vote early.

On Election Day, Voting Centers are open from 7 am to 8 pm.
