Stop Sex Trafficking in Oakland

The Oakland Police Department wants to help people who are being trafficked. We rescue the victims and arrest the traffickers. We team up with advocacy groups so that victims can get help. And we partner with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office to hold traffickers accountable.

Most Wanted

OPD is partnering with the U.S. Marshal and participating Northern California local, state, federal, and tribal law enforcement agencies to bring wanted criminals to justice.

Ceasefire Oakland works in collaboration with the National Network for Safe Communities at John Jay College. Our strategy is constantly informed by best practices and the help of The National Network for Safe Communities. This partnership enables Oakland and communities around the United States to adopt and implement strategies that have been proven to reduce violent crime.

Police Crime Laboratory (Criminalistics Division)

The mission of the Criminalistics Division is to provide our clients with prompt, effective and reliable forensic science services, unbiased evaluation and interpretation of data derived from the analysis of physical evidence, and effective testimony in order to aid in the administration of justice in cases involving the jurisdiction of the Oakland Police Department.
