The mission of Code Enforcement Services is to help create safe and healthy living and working spaces while improving the quality of life for all people in Oakland. We aim to run a fair and unbiased program to address violations of Oakland city codes, rules, property maintenance, and land use regulations.

The Oakland Police Department supports a range of programs for children and youth in our city. Some target at-risk young people, or those who may have already taken a wrong step. Others offer opportunities to explore careers in law enforcement and the justice system.

DWES enforces laws and policies to maximize participation of local and small businesses and ensure equitable access to the City’s contracting opportunities.
The Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) administers local funding sources for numerous transportation projects through the Measure B, Measure BB, and Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF) funding programs.
We're a small, mostly part-time team of designers, content strategists, and developers. We work with City staff to improve digital services for the public.
