Amy Ferguson-Yep

Amy is passionate about furthering racial justice in government. As a Race and Equity Analyst in the City of Oakland, she supports Racial Equity Teams in ten departments to build their skills as equity advocates and advance equity work in their departments. She provides technical assistance to staff on Racial Equity Impact Analyses and trains staff on race and equity topics including Race & Equity 101, Implicit Bias and Social Power, Inclusive Engagement and Accountability, and Results-Based Accountability.  

Prior to working in Oakland, she served on a Fellowship implementing the first Racial and Social Equity Action Plan in the City of South San Francisco. She has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley.
