Regina Jackson is a Mayoral Appointee. Her term ends on October 16, 2024.

Chair Emeritus Regina Jackson is a seasoned nonprofit leader with a strong commitment to social, racial, and environmental justice. For over 27 years, she served as President/CEO of the East Oakland Youth Development Center (EOYDC), fostering youth development and empowerment in her hometown of Oakland, CA. Under her leadership, EOYDC became a model environment for nurturing young minds, expanding community engagement, and developing strategic, data-driven programs. Regina's "Theory of Change" character-based leadership model and her emphasis on comprehensive compassion and emotional intelligence established an excellence-driven culture, impacting over 30,000 students and earning recognition from prestigious organizations.

Regina's expertise extends beyond nonprofit leadership, as she has been appointed to advisory roles for various organizations, including the Tides Center Board and Restorative Justice for Youth (RJOY). Appointed by the Mayor of Oakland to the Inaugural Police Commission in 2017, Regina served as Chair from 2019-2022, leading criminal justice reform efforts focused on police accountability and community engagement. Recognized as one of EBONY's 100 community builders in 2021, Regina continues to make a difference through her consulting and coaching firm, RGJackson Management Group, where she prioritizes nonprofit leaders as clients. Recently certified in Healing Centered and Executive Coaching, Regina's dedication to positive change has earned her the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
